If you're looking for a hike near Tokyo with a stunning view of the Fuji Mountain, the Mitsutoge Mountain is the perfect destination.
Located in the Yamanashi department is the Mitsutoge Mountain (and its 1786 meter high) one of the most famous place for its panorama about the Fuji Mountain and the Kawaguchi lake. WIth a clear sky, it will offer you some of the most beautiful panorama of Fuji...
Explore this route who brings you from the Mitsutoge station to the top of the mountain and head back towards de Kawaguchi lake by enjoying the view of Fuji san.
Starting from Shinjuku, we will meet at the bus terminal where our day will start. After a short route we will start our ascent and will reach the top at lunch time.
The afternoon will be spend to the descent by enjoying the panoramas.
The Mitsutoge Mountain is an all year long accessible trail. However the most crowd period is from April to Octobre. Take spikes with you if you plan to climb it in the Winter.
This ascent is based on a "full day" format from a departure at the Shinjuku station.
Even if it is reachable by everyone, this mountain will ask you a 4h30 effort to achieve its top.

This formula is based on an ascent with a departure around 7am at the Shinjuku station and a return at 7pm at the Kawaguchiko station.

The Mitsutoge trail is reachable for everyone but will ask you some effort to reach its top. Wear good hikking shoes (minimum) in case of climbing between Decembre and March. For more security, don't hesitate to take spikes with you.

From Spring to Autumn, wear comfortable and waterproof clothes.
From Decembre to March, wear extra clothes and gloves in case of cold weather. We recommend you to check the weather forecast before your departure to wear appropriate clothes. The weather may change towards the ascent.

After the departure from Shinjuku, the convenient store and supermarkets will be limited. We recommend you to bring your own lunchbox to be able to eat something on the top.
