Meeting at your hotel lobby and start to the Shinjuku station.

Arrival at the Takaosanguchi station.

We start our ascent.

Once arriving to the top, we take a break and enjoy the view of the Fuji Mountain (If the weather allows it).

The Takao Mountain or Takao san is only 55 min away from Shinjuku (central station of Tokyo). It has seven marked hiking trails reaching 599 meters of altitude.

The Takao mountain is one of the most famous natural recreation area of Tokyo. It gives wondeful landscapes, beautiful temples and attractive hikes.

While the Takao Mountain is located outside of the downtown, it is still located in Tokyo and is mainly appreciated by couples, families and elderly people.

Once the top has been reached, you"ll be able to discover a panorama on mountains full of lush vegetation. Once the sky is clear, the top gives a beautiful view on the Fuji mountain and the capital city.

Comfortable shoes : Takao Mountain is far from being a big hike. It belongs more to a walk in the nature of Tokyo that offer a wonderful panorama on the top. In the Summer as the Winter remains the path pretty passable and requires only comfortable shoes.

Takao Mountain is located on the West part of Tokyo. With its 599m altitude will the weather be pretty similar to the capital city and I invite you to take clothes regarding the season of visit.

We recommend you to bring a bottle of water with you. Takao Mountain contains many restaurants on the top as on the abroad of the shrine. It's your choice to decide if we take a lunch in the restaurant or if we buy a lunchbox before the hike.
